Pontiac Chapter
December 2011On Thanksgiving Day we held a day of service at Bishop Cosgrove’s Kitchen in East St. Louis. We had about 7 people from our chapter including myself go and help make and serve meals. In total we made over 1000 meals that were sent out to people all over the area. The people that went had fun, met new people, and made others happy. As a chapter we have decided to build and run a sled in the Klondike Derby. We hope that this will get more people interested in the OA and help boost membership. We have appointed a new election chairman, Randy A. If anyone needs his info email me or see Rob Ambrow. |
| National Trails Day |
Once again this year Nisha Kittan Lodge has decided to partner with the American Hiking Society to host a National Trails Day by providing service and improvements to the Camp Vandeventer Eagle Trail. The service day will be held June 1, 2013 beginning at 9:00 AM and conclude around 3:00 PM. Participants should provide their own sack lunch and water for the day. Anyone with questions or needing additional information can contact Special Events Chairman Colton R. or his advisor Gary Williams. Please pass around our flyer and mark your calendars for this important service opportunity! |
