Arrowman of the YearEvery year our LEC selects the youth member who best exemplifies the Scout Oath and Law, and the Spirit of the Arrow, in their scouting and personal life. This member is recognized as "Arrowman of the Year" at our Winter Banquet. Bronze Arrowhead AwardThis award, designed in about 1994, recognizes non-scouters for their service and/or dedication to our lodge. In the past it has been presented to the parents of a Past Lodge Chief, a scout office manager, the wife of a scouter, and numerous volunteers. Founders AwardIntroduced at the National Order of the Arrow Conference in 1981, the Founders Award is presented only to those Arrowmen who have given outstanding service to their lodge and demonstrate that they memorialize the spirit of achievement, as described by our founders E. Urner Goodman and Carroll A. Edson, in their day-to-day life. The number of Founders Awards a lodge may present each year is based upon lodge membership; if more than one Founders Award is given in a year at least one must be to a youth Arrowman (under 21). The Founders' Award consists of a handsome bronze medallion which reads: "For he who serves his fellow is, of all his fellows, greatest." |
