Brotherhood Conversion

January 2013

This year we want to implement a competition among our five chapters to see which chapter can get the highest percentage of brotherhood conversions. The winning chapter will be rewarded! Hopefully this will get us off to a good start towards earning the gold level in our Journey to Excellence (JTE) for 2013. More details for the competition will be presented at the February LEC meeting.

December 2012

Thanks to a lot of people we were able to do a few last minute brotherhood conversion days and reached more than a 30% brotherhood conversion level. This has always been a difficult thing to achieve, so thanks to everyone who stepped up and sealed their membership in our lodge. This was the last item we needed to complete our "Journey to Excellence" (JTE) qualifications. Nisha Kittan Lodge is now a Gold level JTE lodge. Now our focus should shift to promoting brotherhood conversion at both our Spring Fellowship and our council's summer camp sessions.

Project 2013

Project 2013 is recruiting 700 Arrowmen to serve on the Order of the Arrow staff at the 2013 National Scout Jamboree. It will be comprised of three groups: Jamboree Trek Guides, Day of Service Guides, and the OA Service Corps. The Project 2013 Corps will be structured similar to a lodge with program leadership and chapters; it will be a youth run program at the 2013 National Scout Jamboree led by Order of the Arrow leaders from around the country.
