Nisha Kittan Lodge

We all heard how "Communication is Key" from our Lodge Adviser in August.  Our Lodge Chief gave an excellent presentation on "How to Write a Good Report" in September.  Our lodge website is one of our principle means of communication, and it is the best place for people to see what is going on in and with our lodge.

Our chairmen do a great job, and give good verbal reports at our LEC meetings, but they do not submit those reports for posting on our website. 

Most of our members do not attend our LEC meetings; submitting reports for posting on the website is the best way to get information out to them, to the rest of our council, and to our communities.

The following verbiage should be included (without the quotes) on all sign-up and permission slips that our lodge uses so that we can begin documenting our activities on our web site and in our newsletter.  Please note that this requires the signature of a parent or legal guardian if someone is under 18 (which we should be obtaining already anyhow).

"I understand that this event may be documented by photographs, as well as audio and video recordings.  I hereby give consent for the free use of any photographs and audio or video recordings that include my likeness and/or voice (or those of my minor child listed on this form) to Nisha Kittan Lodge and Lewis & Clark Council for the purposes of documentation, news coverage, promotion, and any other lawful purposes approved by the leadership of Nisha Kittan Lodge and falling within the standards and policies of the Boy Scouts of America."
