Vice Chief Administration
December 2010I received one report, from the Awards Committee Chairman. The awards committee finished the selection process for the Founder’s Award for this year. They also set a deadline for next year’s Founder’s Award nominations of June 3rd. The nomination form will be available on the website.
For the last LEC, I requested the committees complete their goals, and finalize their budgets by this LEC.
I have been requesting the committees under the vice chief of administration to provide reports on their activities with the Chapter members but it appears little contact is occurring. It is important that all the committees provide reports so Lodge leadership and other members of the lodge understand what is happening in you areas.
I have suggested that committees conduct their business at least once a month by email, including me on these emails so that I have an idea on what's happening. Committee reports should be completed by the 1st Sunday of the month, to send to the secretary; because the Lodge Chief, Lodge Adviser, and Associate Lodge Adviser meet on the 2nd Thursday to produce the agenda for the upcoming LEC.
Have a safe and happy holiday and I will see you at the winter banquet. November 2010I sent out emails to my new committee chairmen to clarify when they are expected to meet with their committees and send in their reports. We need our committees to respond to emails, set goals, and establish budgets because there are many things to do this year. |
